Job Description

Assistant Manager: EHS

Responsibilities

To follow departmental policies, procedures, and rules – regulation.

Stakeholder consultation, Communication, and participation

Authorized to monitor and stop any unsafe work practices.

Scope and context of occupational health and safety management system

Arrange Induction program for new joining employee.

Occupational health and safety objectives (including wellbeing)

Occupational health and safety programmers and planning (including wellbeing)

Identification of hazards, opportunities, and assessment of risk

Safe operating procedures (safe systems of work)

Management and control of manual handling, workstation ergonomics (including DSE), occupational road risk, work at height, lifting operations, pressure systems, hazardous substances, confined space working, electrical hazards, personal protective equipment, psychosocial hazards

Permit to work and safe isolation systems

Evaluating, engaging & managing contractors / vendors for technical & soft services.

Fire safety management (protective and preventative controls)

Accident/incident, near miss reporting, investigation and CAPA monitoring.

Ill-health monitoring (including absenteeism and presentism)

Non-conformance monitoring

Monitoring of competence and capability, including behaviours

Monitoring of organizational Fire health and safety culture

Provide Medical First Aider

Liaising with local statutory bodies to ensure the site compliance.

BBS Monitoring

Involvement in On Site Emergency Plan and Business continuity Plan.

Monitoring of OHS & Wellbeing Objective.

Monitoring of using the proper face mask, hand gloves and maintaining social distance at workplace.

Monitoring those personnel not to share any personal good or objective with each other during work hours

Report wellbeing issues to welfare officer.

Use minimum water as and when required for any work activity.

Dustbin should be used for any kind of waste.

SOP should be followed for respective work activity.

 

Accountability

Accountable to support & coordinate to achieve zero-man day loss injury incident.

Accountable to report monthly OHS & wellbeing performance to management

Accountable to ensure effective corrective & preventive actions against incidents

Accountable to review effectiveness of corrective & preventive actions

Accountable to conduct safety committee meetings as per decided frequency

Accountable to ensure operation Fire & safety

Accountable to ensure effective control measures in operational activity as per HIRA

Accountable to monitor & review OHS & Well-being training plan

Accountable to support all departments to achieve OHS & Wellbeing objectives.

Authorize to report incidents, Near misses, unsafe conditions to his superior.

Report any environmental related incidents and unsafe act recorded at your park.

Report to any quality related issues to respective supervisor.

Accountable to support & coordination for continual improvement of OHSMS.

Accountable to report site specific health & wellbeing issues to Welfare officer

Accountable for ill health monitoring.

Authorize to report incidents, Near misses, unsafe conditions to his superior.

Report any environmental related incidents and unsafe act recorded at your park.

Report to any quality related issues to respective supervisor.

 

 

Authority

Authorize to stop unsafe practices which can lead to injury or illness

Authorize to issue work permit

Authorize to conduct surprise audits & inspection

Authorize to monitor & review OHS & Wellbeing training plan

Authorize to give NC to the vendors.
